My Story
My name is Anthony Garbe, the creator of ‘’The Impossible Dream’’ and I AM a dreamer.
The ultimate dreamer at that too. I always have been and I always will be.
I have been told that all my life from teachers, friends and acquaintances, although always meant in a derogatory manner, but for me......... the greatest thing you can have is a dream.
There is no happier a life than one of setting sail in the quest, in the pursuit of real dreams. Those we pursue with open eyes, those that involve effort, struggles, headwinds and sudden storms.
History is FULL of dreamers who had a magnificent obsession with what they were trying to achieve and the story of every great Man or Woman tends to follow a similar theme:
Dreams followed by failure, followed by lessons learned, followed by success
This is not the 1st idea and dream that I have embarked on.
It is in fact my 5th entrepreneurial endeavour over the past 21 years that range from making fun
Condom attached cards to promote safe sex on Club 18-30 holidays to lobbying the UK treasury for a
tax-deductible salary sacrifice scheme to encourage high street spending, when shops were closing
daily at the peak of the Great Recession of 2008.
With these apparent failures have come great lessons and I would not be the man I am today
without these experiences.
My path has been no different than the great people I have read about in having dreams, followed
by failure, followed by lessons learned.
What I do know from over 10,000 hours of learning, is if you have the courage to keep trying long and
hard enough you WILL achieve success.
‘’The Impossible Dream’’ idea was born on Monday 30th March 2020 while I was off work during the 1st Lockdown, painting my garden fences.
I had been in sales for 23 years and I was top of my industry, thriving and earning more than I had ever earned and in a job that I loved.
I had been in my role of Sales Manager for a Blinds and Awning business for 8 years and dealt with some of the country’s leading bars and restaurants, helping to design their outdoor areas, but there was little more in my industry that I could do or learn and I was going stale.
I also had this overwhelming urge to help people, and this led me to believe in the idea that just wouldn’t leave me, that ‘’The Impossible Dream’’ TV show was indeed my destiny and the vehicle for me to truly help others on a mass scale and the chance to live my dream life that involves creative work and travel.
So, I served my notice and in September 2021 left to pursue my dreams..... I had the option to leave my role open, but I wanted no safety net, I had to burn my boats as I had heard Tony Robbins say.
(The concept of burning the boats traces back to one of history’s most inspiring leadership stories in 1519. Hernan Cortés led a large expedition consisting of 600 Spaniards, 16 horses, and 11 boats to Mexico. The goal: capture a magnificent treasure said to be held there. Upon arrival they realised they were vastly outnumbered, Cortés made history by burning his own boats. This sent a clear message to his men: There is no turning back. They either win or they perish)
I needed to think differently so I embarked on travel to gain new experiences and to take me out of my comfort zone.
Me and my travel companion Lola – my miniature Jack Russell Dog drove 3000 miles through France, Italy and Switzerland.
We had a wonderful time, and I drew inspiration from the Dunkirk evacuation museum, the WW1 battlegrounds of the Somme and visiting the mental hospital where Vincent van Gogh painted many of his masterpieces in Saint-Remy-de-Provence.
I found it to be very true that in isolation, inspiration grows and in the month away, the show started to further form in my mind.
This trip also gave me an insatiable thirst for knowledge and self-development, and this year I have travelled to visit Expo 2020 in Dubai, Norway to see the Northern lights, Rome, Malta, Maui for a Meditation Retreat and to Los Angeles to try and open doors to realise my dream.
Each trip has inspired me and developed both myself and the show.
My goal is to make ‘’The Impossible Dream’’ the World’s most Watched, Exciting, Inspiring and Education TV Show.
A programme that families around the World will gather to watch each week to listen to our 3 dreamers’ inspirational back stories and marvel at their ingenious idea that may invoke a reaction of ‘’that’s so simple’’. I should have thought of that to just Wow, that is a world changer!
It will inspire people to think.
Anyone can have an idea - It could be one that helps you at home, improves your work environment, It may better something that already exists or maybe it could even enhance mankind!
The show will not just excite and inspire, the Masterminds and the Teachers will also educate our viewers in the art of turning thoughts into things.

It is not enough to just have an idea.
You must WRITE it down, add a DATE to it so it becomes a GOAL and break it down, so it becomes a PLAN. Next add some daily ACTION, mixed with determination, persistence, imagination, focus and faith and work on it until it becomes......................... REALITY.
As more and more people start following their Dreams, our World will become a better place and being called a ‘’Dreamer’’ will have you beaming with pride.
